In order to be considered for admission to GSSTI, an applicant must posses a high school Diploma or GED and be beyond the age of compulsory high school attendance.  A student who does not have a high school diploma or GED must demonstrate an ability-to-benefit by taking a New Jersey State approved standardized ability to benefit (ATB) examination.  To obtain information about and make an arrangement for taking this examination, please contact the Admissions Office. . High school graduates or individual who have passed GED examination are required to submit proof of education.

We try to make school enrollment as painless as possible.  However, a personal interview is required to evaluate the applicant's motivation and potential.  It is important that you meet with an admission representative to tour the facility, learn about the program you are considering, and get a feel for the school.  Career traiing is a big committment and we want to ensure you make the right choice for you.  its your future after all.  That said, here are the steps to enrollment.

STEP 1:  Meet with Garden State Science and Technology Institute Admission Representative.  Call 201-963-1500 or complete the form on this page.  You'll go over program details, get a tour of the school, meet some students and faculty, and get all your questions answered.

STEP 2:  Pass entrance exam.  This is a requirement to enroll and is a timed 50 question aptitude test.  There is no way to studey for it and the test consists of basic vocabulary and basic math (only need 15/50 to PASS!)

STEP 3:  Bring all required paperwork.

STEP 4:  Meet with financial aid officer.  After passing your entrance exam and submitting all required documents, you will then be scheduled an appointment to meet with the financial advisor to discuss financial aid option or to set up a monthly payment plan for school.

STEP 5:  Pay deposit of $50 to register for class (not covere by financial aid, this is non-refundable/transferable).

STEP 6:  You will be notified within 24 hours (except weekends) of paying the deposit of your enrollment status.  If you have further question call us or go to FAQ page.
